I came here a hour before they are scheduled to close. I got a bucket of tips. They were fresh, but some was tender and some wasn't. They also skimped on the fries, which are hand-cut. The sauce is really good too. Food and service was a 3 star, but I will give them another chance. Their bathroom was clean so that gave them the 4- star. I did like how the call your order by name. They have a sit down area that is set up nice. Give them time. Hopefully, they'll look up their reviews and start from there.

Hands down best fish sandwich in the world! I have tasted quite a few sandwiches but this is by far the best. They give you a quality bun, an entire fish fillet that is seasoned to perfection then fried. It's not a frozen fillet like other restaurants. They serve it with crispy fresh vegetables and crispy pickles. I like the homemade fries as well. The portions are great and the sandwich is enough to feed two people. The service is great!

Well I had the breakfast and it was awesome! The grits were perfect, eggs fluffy, and the French toast just like my dad use to make! I read some of the reviews and almost didn't go but I am glad that I did! Great food, great service, great atmosphere...what more could one want? I hate driving all the way to the city for great food and now I have a new spot in the south suburbs!

First let me say that no one, repeat no one wants a great rib restaurant in South Holland more than me. I wanted to love this place as soon as I saw the "coming soon" sign. It would such be a convenient stop coming home from work. Sadly my experience wasn't good. I'd already heard two reviews. The first from a nearby barber shop (a sad tale of extremely slow service; 3 hrs for an order of Jerk Chicken?). I chalked that up to newness. The second review came from a friend who was disappointed with the rib tips, but quite happy with the sides. I kept an open mind and visited on July 23, 2014. Here's my review: THE SERVICE: I placed my order at 5:05p and was told it would take 20 minutes. Ok I said, I'll go shopping, just call when it's ready. While there I noticed a 3-4 years old running around and playing in the food service area (more later). I paid, left, got the call FORTY (40) minutes later and came back. While receiving my order I noticed the child was now playing with food (pulling apart a piece of meat) in the food service area. Not a pretty picture. THE FOOD: Got the large rib tips with two sides (over $18!). The rib tips were nothing like the picture on this page. They were diced, chopped up, tiny, gristly, hard and chewy! The sauce was tasty and the sides (greens and black-eye peas) were really good. IN SUMMARY: I may go back for the sides. I hear the cobbler is good. But sorry folks, 1) the tips are just not good, and 2) children should NOT be playing in a food prep area. This ain't Grandma's kitchen it's supposed to be a professional restaurant (and please no hate comments from folks who'll say I don't like kids. I've had grand childeren so I know where kids hands have been!). If the children are there, I'm out. PEACE!

I was so excited when I saw that they were opening this place, I thought it would be nice to have a bbq place near my job that I could go to for lunch. When they finally opened, I looked them up and online it says they open at 11. They DONT open at 11, they don't actually open until 2:00. On to the food. I went in and looked at the menu: the first 4 things I tried ordering from the menu, they didn't even have. So I ended up going with a basic mini tip and fries. She said it would be 15-20 minutes. So I left and came back half an hour later, and saw the same people still waiting from when I left. I ended up waiting in the restaurant for another half an hour before it was ready. The rib tips were extremely tough, very hard to chew. My mom thought maybe we just went on a bad day. So we tried it again about a week later, just so we could be sure. Again, the tips were chewy and tough. My coworkers have also been and have very similar opinions as mine about this place. The fries covered in sauce were the only part of the meal I could eat. They were decent, but not so good that I would go there just for fries. So all in all, this is NOT a place I'll be going back to.

First local bbq joint that I can remember in the area. Great building location, a former auto shop. Nice and spacious. Get the tips!!
